Chapter 63 Unforgivable
Chapter 63 Unforgivable
"Haha, they dare to fight with us with that lousy boat! Haha!" The man standing in the middle of the deck laughed, showing all the yellow teeth in his mouth. He was 1.6 meters tall with abstract facial features.
"Haha! This one-week old boat is just amazing. The high-pressure hydraulic pump is as powerful as a cannon. With this boat, now we can fight it out with the fisheries administration ship if we see it again!" The ugly-looking men whose average height was no more than 1.65 meters were all full of themselves.
"Alright, alright. The fly has been chased away, and we can cast the net in peace now." Reeking of a fishy smell, the captain went toward the control room. "The fishes are fattening up during this period. Let’s cast a few more nets and fetch a good price when we get back."
"Brothers, let’s get to work!" the vice-captain shouted and then ran toward the mechanical winch. Thump! The vice-captain seemed to have poor eyesight. The high-pressure hydraulic pump had made half the deck wet, and he slipped and fell when he stepped on it!
This eighty-meter long tugboat was operated by using a long machine net which caught the fish in the deep sea. The two steel cables, which were as thick as arms, pulled the fish net, which by itself weighed a few tons. It looked like a deep sea monster that would swallow any living creature that appeared in front of it.
"Vice-captain, the fishes in the Paracel Islands are really in abundance. Just one net here is more than what we can catch with ten nets back home," said the twenty-five-year-old man beside the winch, as he looked at the fish net with yearning eyes.
"This is the reason we make our way here to the Paracel Islands so brazenly! What we have back home is just a filthy drain!" The vice-captain spat out his stinking saliva and continued, "It’s a compliment to call it a filthy drain. At least there are countless numbers of maggots in a filthy drain." Just as the two men digressed from the topic of the sea to women’s breasts, they suddenly heard a droning sound. The two steel cables were shaking violently as if bitten by a monster, making swishing sounds in the surrounding air.
"Ahh! Did we hit some rock?" The whole fishing boat was shaking from the intense pulling force and everyone on it looked terrified. Could this ship which cost over 15 million RMB be so unfortunate as to be damaged on its virgin trip?
"No, no..." The man beside the vice-captain shouted, "Vice-captain, look, we’ve caught something big!"
"Oh my goodness!!" The vice-captain opened his eyes big. "We’re really in luck this time, this thing definitely weighs dozens of tons!" The steel cables shook violently, letting out nerve-wracking grinding sounds at its connecting points with the hull!
"Quick, start the winch!" The vice-captain hit the man who was still in a daze before pressing the button frantically.
The big thing that had been caught by the fishermen’s net was none other than Chen Fan’s electric eel avatar. As it had a GPS placed on its front claws, Chen Fan did not have the eel release its current in order to sense its surroundings while he was asleep, thus leading to this tragedy.
"Damn, what happened?" Chen Fan was awakened by a strong sense of being restrained, which conveyed to him clearly that the eel was in danger! Chen Fan immediately shifted his thoughts onto the eel, and he saw that the eel’s body was entwined by a mess of fish net. The fish net was tightening fast and pulling the eel upward.
"Ah!" Chen Fan’s hair stood up at once and the shocking scene in front of him made him fully awake. After being in shock for half a second, Chen Fan roared as he used the eel’s four claws to hold on to the tightening net and then pull outward. The nylon net now had four three-meter long holes, but it was still not enough for the electric eel to escape.
Seeing that the seabed was getting further away, Chen Fan roared again and then used the two front claws to pull at one of the holes. After biting and pulling at it for less than a second, the three-meter long hole split open in all directions. The eel swang its tail wildly and slipped out from the broken net!
Chen Fan controlled the eel to swim away, only stopping after it was around three hundred meters away. He looked at the fast rising fish net with lingering fear. "Unforgivable! This is unforgivable!" Chen Fan exploded with rage. If he had been slower, would the eel have been mistaken for a whale and been pulled away? After calming down, Chen Fan moved the eel forward to take a look at who was so bold as to disturb its sleep. A tugboat, an eighty-meter long, huge tugboat!
--------
"Oh my god, what exactly did we catch?" The captain pursed his lips and stared at the fish net in disbelief. This was a high tenacity net that cost a few million RMB; even a humpback whale could be caught by it without any difficulty. But look at what happened. The fish net which had been praised to the skies by its seller was now covered in blood and telling the people present that they had been conned.
"Was it a giant squid?" The vice-captain came over and pointed to the net. "A whale is not able to do this. They only have teeth and it’s impossible to bite four big holes in such a short time."
"I don’t care what it was. I only know that the net is now broken and we can’t catch any more fishes." The captain’s already abstract facial features looked even more horrifying when he was angry and were worse than a demon from hell.
"Go get threads to mend the net now. I want to see an undamaged fish net before the sky turns dark. Otherwise, you’ll jump down and catch the fishes with your hands!" With this, the captain went into the cabin without turning his head.
"Vietnamese monkeys, it’s the vietnamese monkeys." From a distance away, Chen Fan saw that the ship had a Vietnam logo on it and also flew a flag of Vietnam. At that moment, anger rose in his head like a hydrogen bomb. As a young nationalist, nothing else could make him more furious than this. Not only had they come to the Paracel Islands to fish, but they had even almost exposed the identity of his eel avatar!
"I’ll make sure that you sink!" Chen Fan gritted his teeth and then controlled the eel to swim quietly toward the bottom of the tugboat. However, Chen Fan was immediately dumbstruck when he reached the bottom! Although the engine had stopped, the anchor was hanging high on the bow and there was no way Chen Fan could get it to smash its bottom. Moreover, from the looks of it, it was not intending to stay there and would definitely go around after mending the net.
Stones? Claws? Teeth? Different methods flashed through Chen Fan’s mind, but they were all overruled. Although the outer shell of civilian ships were not strong, they couldn’t be smashed with stones either!
--------
Ten minutes later, Chen Fan shifted his thoughts back to his own body temporarily before making a call to Zhang Xueyang. "Hello, Bro Zhang? Can your factory help me custom-make a three-ton meteor hammer?"
