The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 180

“*Sigh.... What do you want?” he asked while leaning back into his chair. Whatever it is that Zi Han wanted he was ready to hand it over as long as it wasn’t illegal.

“I need help with something... It’s my friend. He kind of got into trouble because of me,” said Zi Han while walking over to the liquor cabinet in the office and pouring out a little whiskey from the decanter into two crystal glasses.

He placed it on the desk in front of his grandfather and kept the other one for himself. Just as he was about to drink it Zi Feiji raised his finger to stop him.

“Uh uh uh.....,” he said and Zi Han put it down with a disgruntled look on his face.

He had already forgotten that when he came back home with a bloody hangover he whined all day with his mother on the couch.

And guess who took care of the both of them? Zi Feiji did. He ran around taking care of them and now Zi Han wanted to drink. Nope, not on his watch.

“Give it to me,” said Zi Feiji and Zi Han reluctantly handed it over.

Zi Feiji took a nice long sip right in front of him and even let out a contented sigh obviously taunting him. Zi Han wanted to call his grandfather out for being childish but when he remembered he needed help he shut his mouth.

.....

“Which friend is this?” asked Zi Feiji wondering who was so important that his grandson would come to ask him for help. Zi Han hadn’t been in Capital Star for so long yet he had a friend that was that close.

Zi Han rubbed the back of his neck feeling a little nervous. How was he supposed to say this? ‘Grandpa, I was about to kiss a boy because of a dare and Yi Chen pushed the guy into the pool before I could do it. Now he was scolded on Starnet and was being punished by the Marshal?’

Well, that pretty much summed it up but he was sure his grandpa would get super mad after hearing that. He glanced at the closed door and calculated how fast he could get away after his grandfather exploded.

The odds right now were not in his favor. “Are you going to tell me or not?” asked Zi Feiji his suspicions growing by the minute.

“I am, I am..... Now don’t be mad. I got into a little trouble at the party and Yi Chen is getting punished for it so.....,” explained Zi Han telling half-truths.

Zi Feiji’s brow furrowed wondering what sort of trouble he got into. He knew he shouldn’t ask but as a responsible adult, he still had to inquire of.

“What kind of trouble?” he asked but soon he regretted asking the question.

Twenty seconds later Zi Han was high tailing out of the study and ran straight into his mother’s bedroom. Behind him, Zi Feiji was yelling for his broom but the steward who was walking in the passageway walked backward before rushing to hide the infamous broom.

Zi Han crawled under his mother’s quilt waking her up. Zi Xingxi misunderstood. She actually thought her baby boy missed the sleepovers but a second later she took that back.

“You!.... Come out,” said Zi Feiji while pointing at the quilt but Zi Han wasn’t going to come out of this refuge.

“What are you all fighting about at this hour?” asked Zi Xingxi while pulling up the quilt to look at Zi Han.

“He..... he kissed a boy. On camera,” said Zi Feiji his voice getting lower and lower while his face got redder from rage.

“I didn’t..... and I didn’t know that someone was recording,” replied Zi Han while peeking his head out of the quilt.

Zi Feiji picked up a pillow and threw it at him but Zi Han had already retreated underneath the quilt like a mole rat.

“You kissed a boy? Is it Yi Chen?” she asked her tone normal but Zi Han somehow felt that it wasn’t so safe being under this quilt anymore.

“No! Why would I kiss him? I didn’t kiss anyone. I almost kiss Evan not Yi Chen and it was a dare,” whispered Zi Han explaining himself.

“Who is Evan?” she asked her aura mellowing down significantly. It’s a good thing she was too wasted at that time otherwise if she found out that Zi Han spent a night with Yi Chen she would lose her mind.

“Some classmate. It was a dare and before I did it Yi Chen pushed the guy in the pool and now he is in trouble.... and grandpa wants to hit me,” he said throwing his grandfather under the bus.

“Who wants to hit you? I don’t want to hit you. I want to discipline you. There is a big difference,” said Zi Feiji wishing he could hit this grandson of his with a pillow.

Zi Han wanted to say tomato tomahto but he wouldn’t dare speak right now otherwise his grandpa might actually come to get him.

Zi Xingxi lay down with a sigh. “You can’t be serious. He didn’t even kiss anyone. You two off to bed. I have a lot of things to do tomorrow,” she said shuffling around and pulling the quilt. Thats when Zi Xingxi realized that Zi Han wasn’t leaving thus she raised her head and asked, “Why aren’t you leaving?”

Zi Han glanced at his grandfather who looked like a hyena waiting for the cub to leave the lioness’ den and snatch it away.

“He won’t do anything. Now go on,” she said but Zi Han was still hesitant.

“Argh fine, I am leaving,” said Zi Feiji before walking out. He didn’t get to punish him now but that didn’t mean he didn’t have other means.

He just had to wait for the opportune moment. He had to vent out first only then could he help Yi Chen.

And that opportune time was..... now.

PA!

“Ah..... really,” yelled Zi Han after his grandpa smacked him upside his head.

“I will help you but don’t go planting your lips on anything..... unless you are committed to them or something like that. Don’t go kissing every Tom, Dick, and Harry.... do you understand?” said Zi Feiji his tone serious.

Zi Han rubbed the back of his head suppressing a smile. He would vow to be a monk at this moment as long as his grandpa helped Yi Chen.
